This year, the White iPhone is the throwback option.

Most of you probably ordered the space gray. It's a fine phone, but picks up fingerprints and looks smudgy. It also shows your reflection more clearly when you hold it. I love the black front for videos/movies during the day, but at night you barely even see the bezels as you view media.

Now, let me tell you about the white phone. This year, the white iPhone plus harkens back to the days of the 4S, the one time where the entire back was a glass material that showed the shiny white sheen. It is the only phone where you recognizably have the "new phone" (except the copper color, which could be seen by the naked eye as different, maybe). The white phone also looks great with anything, and will look awesome on your desk.

Who else went white this year after going grey/black for a while? So excited for this year's model(s)! I went with the 8 Plus since I am not the biggest notch fan and like to have my fingers rest on bezels.

I was trying to find some good quality iPhone X comparisons. I have a Jet Black 7 Plus now and love the all black iPhone. I think I am going with the silver (almost white) version of the iPhone X though. It just loos better than the Space Grey and also is something fresh. I like the chrome side band too compared to the space grey one...although I would like better pics.

I also will be purchasing the silver iPhone X. I think it has far less than a silver look to, as it's more white. But photo's don't seem to be as accurate. More hands on tech video's should be more accurate of what to expect.

I have a white 6s+ and decided to go black with the 8+. I REALLY liked my white 6s+. But I had a black 4s and I miss it, and am looking forward to going back to black.

I liked white, but I like the look of black better.

spacegray seems to have weird color... at least according to the hands on videos. maybe it looks better in "natural" light.

but at the moment i prefer the white one.

i hope stores get some demo models in store to help decide. i've been leaning towards the space gray being i've had my white front iPhone 6 for 3yrs and got tired of it quick. i know the silver is black front but like the look of the black screen looking seamless with the space gray.

My 7+ is Silver so I went with Space Gray for the 8+. Maybe I'll go back to Silver next year unless they have some really new cool color.

I was going to get the space grey, but by the time I figured out that I actually wanted an 8+, the SG was delayed, so I went with the silver. Hoping the white face does't annoy me.

The space gray glass is like a dark smoked gray.

I went with silver for the 6 and 6S and I think the white front is pretty clean looking. Only bad thing is it may clash with a lot of cases (since most seem to have black). But it does a pretty good job of resisting fingerprints and it’s not as reflective. The tempered glass on white looks pretty unnoticeable. But I think I’ll go with space gray this time around.

Just picked up my space-grey 8 at UPS. Looks nice to me and feels very solid. The glass back gives it a nice gloss effect. With some limited testing, the back doesn't seem to be much of a fingerprint magnet (probably some coating?), at least nowhere near as bad as my black iPhone 4 back then. It's also much less slippery than my old 6.

I never understood why people want a new colored iPhone just for the sake of notoriety. I’ve bought a black/space gray iPhone every year except for the 5S. In my opinion that was the most beautiful looking white and gold phone. Outside of that I prefer black bezels. I even think this year’s space gray is the best version of it yet. Very dark but can still tell it’s gray in the right lighting.

Same here. My last black phone was Nexus 5. Since then I had 3 white phones (2 Motorolas and 1 iPhone). One of the reasons I am getting black 8+ is that I need change of scenery after 3 years. Time for a change.

Space gray or black is an elegant color and fit in many occasions especially business / finance/ accounting etc environment.
