Well, I’m pretty pumped about the camera - that was probably the main reason I went ahead and upgraded. But I have been surprised with some of the other things that I didn’t think would matter as much, like the battery life and pro motion.

As I said above, battery has never been a big issue or selling point for me, but I think it’s gonna be really nice to just have battery most of the time.

That’s good to know you’re enjoying the phone. I bought (and returned) the 13 Pro Max. I didn’t really had the intention to keep it but at the same time it couldn’t convince me to ditch my 11 Pro Max for it. The camera bump is a little obnoxious like you said in your OP. But I’ll consider the 13 Pro down the road once I warm up to the camera bump.

The 13 Pro Max seems like a "final" version of the iPhone Apple launched with the iPhone X.

Everything is polished and perfected to a T. Definitely seems like a phone one can hold onto for many years!
Exactly. The 13 lineup is going to be like the iPad Air 2 or the iPhone 5s/6s. People are going to hang on to them forever, in my opinion. It's got plenty of power to last for years, it ditches the curved sides for a proven design that people love, it's packed with enough tech to replace pretty much any other device you own, and the screen is just a joy to interact with.

A lot of people have been describing the 13 Pro Max specifically as an "iPad Pro mini" now that it has such crazy battery life and the ProMotion screen. Other than the lack of Pencil support (which I would definitely use if it were there) and the continued existence of the FaceID notch, I agree with that. I got a chance to see the new iPad mini in the Apple Store in person yesterday and while I was tempted to buy one (or maybe ask my wife for one for Xmas), seeing it in person made me realize that I can't justify it when I have the 13 Pro Max already. I don't even use the iPad mini I already have for the same exact reason.
