is there a way to compare the difference between 15" 1440x900 and 15"1680x1050 via screenshots or something like that?

Mac OS doesn't provide options to change font-sizes / dialog-box sizes etc. globally (like windows 7 does) .. so I am really afraid to regret the decision to go for 1680x1050.

How much smaller will the fonts be? (like in the menubar - can you calculate that it will be xx% smaller via the ppi values?)

Of course you can change the font-size in Safari etc. but for example for the menubar you need special tools and that all makes it a little bit hacked together.

I really don't feel like 1680x1050 is very small. I've been at that resolution for years and have never had trouble reading things. You could always go to a store that sells laptop and easily view the resolution difference on a PC.

ok then Im happy that I took the glossy ;)

The matte screen WILL have the silver bezel. It's on the Apple order information page.

I want a matte screen but dislike that silver border. I'm just going to order the glossy and save $50 plus tax. :)

1680х1050 is just perfect on 15.4" for me and 1440x900 always seemed too low.
I wouldn't like 1920x1200 on 15.4" without scalable interface though.

P.S.
Anti-glare option as usual. It's better for my needs.
