That's how I killed the DVD-ROM/CD-RW drive on my iMac G3 (sage model, I still have it, albeit with a CD-ROM drive).

It probably could have been saved, but I was 13 and for some reason believed a butter knife would have done a good job at getting the CD out. Woops. 😱
