I use the bumper on my 12 pro without any protectors and it’s been great. And I drop my phone more than I care to admit. Never had an issue!

Those ordering Deep Purple.. what colour case?

Received the Ink case today. The thing isn't even remotely purple, its navy blue.

I agree, I think this is the best color for the purple. Gives me witchy vibes 🤪
I have ordered the Lilac silicone for my deep purple pro max. should look good
Got my leather ink case, nice, subtle dark colour. It's very dark blue with a purplish tint (rather than a dark purple with a bluish tint, if that makes sense). I can see how either description could be true.
In a couple of months it'll look blue-black anyway.

I’m a sucker for Apple’s forest green leather cases so I’ll be doing the same with the pro max purp to give it the Joker look.
Did you receive your non-purple Ink case?
I was worried with everyone saying how it’s blue, not purple, but mine looks pretty dang purple to my eye and matches the camera bump.
Got the phone and the ink case today. I’m very happy with it. In sunlight the case looks very purple and in general goes well with the phones camera area that shows through.
I’m wondering this also. I want to use just a wallet with no case, but I’m not sure which color works best with the purple.
Same here. I always get clear cases for my phones. That said I had the ESR Halolock clear case for my 13 Pro Max and I didn’t like it at first but I got use to it. So much so I bought the same case for my 14 Pro Max. Although I think the new one is a bit more bulky, with a slightly taller lip and more of a fingerprint and smudge magnet. So I might look for an alternative. I’ve looked at the Spigen and Torras equivalents but I’m not sure if they’re less bulky with less lip. It’s hard to tell in the pictures.
The leather Ink case I think looks absolutely stunning, yes it covers the purple, but it is a perfect match with the color of the camera bump. People say the silver/white iPhone matches well with everything, but the white color is so stark and doesn't match any of the colored cases without screaming "hey look at my big three eyes (cameras)! and the white transparent-plasticy bits around my eyes!".

When I initially received the Ink case I thought it looked navy blue and returned it. After some others said it matched well I picked up another and believe it or not it looks purple on the phone. Looks great actually.
The ink definitely reminds me of the deep violet case I had with my 12 Pro Max. Everyone is saying it is dark blue. I see it in some light, but most of the time all I see is purple. I think it is a perfect match for the phone and it is really hard to photograph.
