Actually the screen feels significantly bigger even if it's only a 0.5" difference. The size is almost exactly the same and due to its slim body and very evenly distributed weight it is very comfortable to hold even one handed.
 
When you watch a video it's even more noticeable due to the wider aspect ratio. The video looks much bigger.
 
It is bigger then the 1/2” would seen. Weight of the 11” is much easier to hold too. It is just the best iPad yet! Had to buy it! But still waiting to get a second Mini 5/Pro for using in the bedroom.
 
Definitely a bit of a difference.

Yes. Noticeable. The bezels being smaller / no home button / no larger "black border" also accentuate the difference.
