I have basically the same media on them. A few games are on my iPhone than my iPad, and I also don't locally store my Apple Music library on my iPad. I do have the same movies, tv shows, etc. on both devices

I sync photos and apps across both. Music, too, if I've got the time to fight iTunes.

No. I have a ton of music on my phone and none on my iPad. I typically have some video on my iPad and none on my phone. Different devices with different usages.

My iPhone has a lot more apps and photos stored on it. It's also 64GB. My iPad is strictly used to consume media (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc). I have no photos and minimal apps installed since it's only 16GB.

Just out of curiosity, do you keep the same media library on both devices?
most of the apps are shared between the twos.
Music on my iPhone.
Videos on the iPad.
Games (just a few) on the iPad.

Photos on the iCloud library, so accessible on every device (including my Macs).

Music - I use iTunes match to access my library and don't keep that much music on the iPhone or iPad.
Video - I watch it on my TV and only use the iPhone or iPad for watching YouTube videos.
Photos - Recent stuff is shared on iCloud but my main library is too big so it stays on the Mac.

Music/Taking photos/filming videos: I use my iPod Touch 5G on iOS 6 exclusively for that.
Playing games/watching videos (Netflix): iPad
Apps: I have quite a few on all three, but mainly on my iPad
As for Productivity apps I also use my iPad for them.
I use the iPhone as a phone mainly: Phone calls, Whatsapp, and use on the go primarily.
