Those Who Upgraded from Plus to X, Did the Screen Size Bother You?

I read its narrower and no portrait mode. Did this bother you guys? If you had a chance, would you have not have upgraded and possibly wait for an X Plus type of iPhone next year?

Just contemplating if I should upgrade or not from 7+ or just wait for a bigger X next year.

It is narrower but it feels better in the hands. I have small hands, after the holding the 7 plus for awhile my thumb would cramp up. With the X, I can comfortably wrap my hand around it. It also fits pockets better as well. The screen is so immersive that I don't really notice that it's "technically" smaller than the plus.

What do you mean by "no portrait mode"?

8+ has portrait mode only on the back camera. X has it on both front/back. I use X as a testing device, it's to small for me. I knew this prior to release since I was able to have time with the X over the summer. I use 8+ as my daily driver and won't fully switch over to an X type device until a plus model is released. Yes, X is narrower than the current plus series devices. I notice it all the time when switching back and forth. Again.. I prefer the plus models, they feel better in my hands and I am also one who doesn't care about bezels.

Anyway, do you guys think an X-Plus will be released? I read some saying X is a one time design cuz its an anniversary phone. And next year might have a different design(or maybe samr but LCD).
 
Nope. I prefer the X now.

eta:Never used my Plus in landscape other than video and pictures.

I'm on day 4 with the X and I'm just now getting used to it. And I only had the 8+ for two months until I passed it on to my Dad. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Landscape mode is fine to me. I play my games the same way I did with the 7+. I'm not an insider so I don't know if they'll release a taller version. I'm wondering if they'll change the notch.

It is an adjustment for sure, especially the keyboard for me. But I am still happy I upgraded and love the X. I will get the plus model next year assuming they make one.

Personally, I feel the X aspect ratio is stupid.
Ideally, the Plus has the better aspect ratio for videos and photos. Texting is also better on the Plus, well for me anyways.

If I had to do it again, I’d wait for the X Plus.

Not for me. Went from a 7+ to the X and I like it better.

I do have big hands and could use the + comfortably but this suits me better.
 
2 years on a 6S Plus, 2 weeks on an 8 Plus, now on the X. No, it does not bother me. Moreover, finally my hand doesn't get tired of holding an iPhone: the 8 Plus was especially heavy!

It bothered me a lot actually. I loved the X but didn’t like the size so I returned it and went back the the 7plus. Looking forward the the Xplus next year for sure!

I still have all my Plus devices, i do miss the larger keyboard, and also miss the landscape mode in some apps like mail, and messages which only the Plus model supports... But im moving forward and i embrace the new screen and the new vision from Apple. Some big changes had to be done and they did it once again!
 
Just because something costs more than something else does not make it an "upgrade". In my opinion, the 8+ is the better phone and should cost more than the X. If fanboys want to pay extra for a worse phone good on em.

X vs 6S Plus...I could not get rid of that garbage sooner. Also, maybe I ride the short bus, but I could not get FaceID to cooperate for ****. The notch, the PWM (flickering backlight causing eye pain/headaches), the ridiculously NARROW, long, dumb rectangle that’s good for nothing...it needs active cooling too. Absolutely the most disappointing phone upgrade since the OG Droid with it’s “physical keyboard”.

But don’t take my word for it! Order one for yourself and feast on that BEEEE You ti FULL screen! FINALLY, and OLED phone that didn’t get **** on by a rainbow unicorn. Blue is blue, green is green, red is red, black is black, white is...blue? Wait...what?
 
I really like the size of the X screen better. I didn’t think I would. It also fits better in my hand or pocket. Glad I made the change.
