I have one of these lying around. It's got two Mobility Radeon 9000 GPUs, each driving two single-link DVIs for a total of four outputs (perfect for a certain monitor :)).

Considering the 9000 isn't a bad GPU for OS 9, I've been wondering if there's a chance for this card to be flashed/have a PPC Mac-compatible firmware created for it.

Note that there's also a PCI Express version of the 2400 but this one has two mobile X600s.

are you sure you dont mean the colorgraphic-612514 which is 2 Radeon 9000s on the same card :)

I have seen this card and wondered the same if it could be flashed, in THEORY yes because it looks to just be 2 independent PCI Video cards connected via a PCI bridge that just so happen to be on the same PCB

but sadly I lack the hardware to try

the above video card you posted is RV380 based which Radeon X600 which does not have OS 9 drivers sadly

@LightBulbFun:

Ah, the Colorgraphic Xentera GT4 - I need to get my hands on one of these or even the GT8 too :)

The PCI version of the FireMV 2400 has two 9000s (M9s/RV280s) - I ran GPU-Z on mine and it definitely showed M9, and the PCI IDs match that as well.

The PCI Express version has two X600s (M24s/RV380s).

(When I unbury mine, I'll have a go at removing the heatsinks.)

UPDATE: Here's an excerpt from the driver's .INF:

Another UPDATE: Xentera GT8 anyone? :)
