Out of all the Apple employees, you single out Dr Dre as the one with a 'thug posse'. Racist much?
THERE YOU GO 🙂

She does not make $74m per year. That was a one-time stock grant to make her whole on the shares she walked away from at Burberry.
If we're going to be honest, the problem isn't anything to do with Retail, or the online stores, it has to do with the fact that they launched with 38 different models, in 9 different countries. This is a logistics nightmare no matter what company you are.

The only thing Angela did wrong was put out that pre-school quality video. I think she should have said nothing.

Which is 100% why they should focus on the US market to start and then move out to the other locations.
I'm sure the title of this thread is a bit extreme but hear my reasoning prior to casting judgement. What makes Apple different than any other tech company? Loyalty! Customers actually looked forward to product launches and waiting in line for a chance to be an early adopter. This product launch is a complete joke! So yes I woke up about Ten minutes late and have to wait until 5/13-5/27. That is not the primary reason I'm upset. I don't like that Katy Perry, Pharell, Drake, Beyoncé are all running around with a watch. Steve Jobs would have fired whoever gave the product out prior to the actual release. That is terrible advertising anyway. I guarantee that I ( the loyal Apple customer) have spent more on Apple products than any of the people named above. I'm sure Dr Dre is out running around giving out the watch to these people while being escorted by his thug posse. What a Joke having that guy as an executive anyway. This company's appearance is changing in a bad way. There are so many ways this product launch are a terrible future for Apple. Apple wouldn't be what it is today without its retail partners and it's pretty obvious that they are cutting them all out of the profit by only selling it on the Apple Store online. I'm venting because they obviously released the watch the same day as the Samsung s6 just to try and sway a few but not because they were ready to launch.
Watch launch. You just have to log in to the online store on time and make your order. Everyone has an equal chance.Out of all the Apple employees, you single out Dr Dre as the one with a 'thug posse'. Racist much?
You must be a big shareholder, right? Otherwise you have no voice on these issues. Either buy the product or move on.
wait, you have to be rich to have an voice?? Was that in the first amendment I happen to miss?
I actually agree with a lot of point OP made. Sure maybe it's not all Angela Ahrendts, but heck, she has not been warming up with Apple owners, and that's NEVER a good thing when you are the management.

Some of us had already made up our minds. Its not our fault you didnt prepare for the launch before hand. We shouldnt have to wait until you decide you are ready to purchase the watch. get over yourself. What I'm not happy with is the moving target for launch day. I mean, if they weren't going to have them in stores, why not have the demo models available to examine on 4/10, then make the online order date 4/24 and ship them out immediately (or at first available).
Why take online orders then wait two weeks to ship - and not even barely any stock to ship?
I have no problem with an online-only launch, but start orders when there's stock to ship and ship them right away. And put the demo units in the stores BEFORE they go on sale, so people can make their choices and have a chance to order them before the wait goes to two months.
I also wonder why Apple -- near-trillion dollar company that it is -- is still wholly unable to predict product demand and build enough for first wave sales. I totally believe Apple holds back on purpose for the press. They have billions in the bank, so they don't need to move product quickly.
They (and us along with them) are victims of their own success.
