I'd like to get the opinion of both iOS and android users on this forum.
    Question:

What is the one thing, if you could, you would change about the iOS interface, ecosystem, and devices?

Please think before answering. I ask you to avoid gimmicks and unrealistic or impossible changes.

The only thing I would like changed is the move towards thinness. Would rather sacrifice thinness for increased battery.

    Ecosystem
Secondly, I am not a fan of the new dock connector. Seems like change for change sake. From the images the connector is way too "deep" and looks inconvenient.

    iOS
Like I said, I am not a fan of "change for change sake". There is really noting that "needs" to be changed in iOS. Outside of widgets on the home screen/notification center I don't really need or want to see change in iOS. However, I do not think they should introduce widgets to springboard.

this is the only thing i disagree with you on. i think the move towards this new connector will definitely introduce new abilities. usb 3, thunderbolt, new and improved accessories. it think it shows potential. and as for your comment of the size of the connector, i think it will potentially save space for other things and we'll have to see to how it feels before we judge whether its too deep. one hope i have for it is that its magnetic because there have been no leaks with clips on them.

I think it should have a FileSystem viewer and a built-in Terminal. Also, I think it should also separate AppStores that have archives of SoftWare for previous iOS's and they should improve multitasking a lot.

I would like it to make a change to translucent plastic or rubber, that was Apple's best design ever.

I think I would just simply like the ability to customize my destktop/wallpaper to how I want it. ie: put my icons where I want on the screen. Perhaps change some of the animations just for fun. Or be able to switch between launcher styles (apple related of course!)

    After using Android for a few days there are various things I like about it that I'd enjoy in iOS too;

'Widget' based home screen - the whole 'folders and app icons' is somewhat stale after all this time. I'd like small app interfaces to allow instant access to things without loading them.

Further customisation in terms of 'Live wallpapers' and placing icons, apps, etc where I want them without being forced into regimented boxes.

Better Bluetooth options - Android has complete control in this instance. Apple feels way too 'safe' and not being able to even receive photos over BT is ridiculous.

That said, I still have my iPad and intend to keep it (at least until there is a full range of tablet apps on Android, and a proper device to use within it) and will obviously see where iOS goes over the next 18 months or so but personally I feel that Apple are just spoon feeding options now because they know how popular there are. It doesn't feel like any innovation is being implemented to me anymore, which is why I've moved away from iPhone this year.

In terms of ecosystem, I absolutely LOVE OSX and can't see me moving to Windows any time soon. I am completely unfamiliar with Linux so I'll stay put - it talks to my iPad and my S3 now fits nicely in between the whole place. Apple TV doesn't really interest me until Apple open up its options to have consumer installed apps etc.

Much larger screen 4.5 to 4.8 inches.
For iOS I'd like a centralized sandbox file system all apps can use, it doesn't need to have system files but common files like docs, pics and that sort of stuff.
