I don't know how good this will be, but it is good for competition. As we see more and more companies make widescreen lcds, they will have to keep perfecting them rather than just standing still and letting them sell themselves. Hopefully a more saturated market will drive prices down as well.
After reading some reviews.. It looks pretty good.
I just responded to someone else on this monitor in a different thread so I'll just copy and paste:
Hey, I had the same questions before I bought mine because it has software to calibrate on windows. I now have this monitor hooked up to my 1.33 12 inch Powerbook with 64 megs of vram running dual monitor and it's PERFECT. It looks gorgeous. Since when you do dual monitor it splits the vram 32/32 for me, I'm sure a mini would run it just fine. The monitor is perfect and I am using a DVI cable (which is not included). I highly recommend this monitor
What kind of DVI cable did you end up getting?
I don't know which one I got. I just randomly went to Best Buy and picked up a DVI cable. I do recommend getting it online though as it would be much cheaper. I was just desperate
That monitor is freakin' awesome! I have seen it at Best Buy and played around with it for a few hours and would not hesitate to buy one for my Mac.
Of course, the Dell 2005FPW can be had for less, so it is still a better buy IMO.
