It‘s not just ProMotion and XDR. The MBA screen has 224 ppi, compared to 254 ppi of 14/16” MBP, which means MBA doesn’t get retina 2x integer scaling. Unacceptable.
It won't be getting it as a default setting, but it will be possible to select it, but this would reduce the usable resolution in a way I wouldn't want to have.

The current/previous display was already very good. Zero problem with the brightness of my 2020. I don't even notice the bezels - making it black helps it "disappear" from peripheral view.

The new 13.6" seems like an appropriate step to making it better.

Although having a 120hz would be killer. I wouldnt miss it, but seeing side by side with the Macbook Pro, 120hz is a nice luxury.

i was actually so certain that all new macs released would get 2* scaling ,very surprised it hasnt been the case. they just added vertical pixels to accomodate with the increase in height due to the notchbar

My poll is general, allowing people to make a choice, then comment on their reasoning why in the comments section.

Assuming the only/main problem with the previous MBA screen was brightness is an example of your perspective. This is a poll and discussion based on subjective opinion - yours is no more valid than any other.
Nope. Your poll is 3 negatives and one neutral. So I won't answer because none describe how I feel about the new M2 MacBook Air display and I wouldn't want to skew the poll with incorrect results.
