I was wondering if “ships by May 24” was the only and fastest option that I could ever get on Best Buy. Btw, I’m talking about 12.9”. Is there anyone who’s granted May 21 delivery from Best Buy?

Probably, I ordered mine on the 2nd and it only still says pre-ordered. I did get an email saying that the release date was the 21st (well duh) lol but that’s it so far. I ordered the 12.9 1TB

Same story here (SG) except May 3 order as when I checked on May 2 one could not place a pre-order.
There are several BB posts in the sticky thread and elsewhere so I previously posted a consolidated thread which quickly went to the graveyard.
However, I hope this one stays alive since those who ordered directly from Apple are in a different lane.
Edited to note that I missed an early dedicated thread to BB.

So I guess everyone’s in the same boat! I’m seeing no updates either. Hopefully Best Buy can get it delivered on the release day

I did not order. However, if Best Buy gets the item faster than anticipated, they will send it to you quicker, provided it isn't before the official release date.
Somebody has already received their 2021 iPad Pro early. I assume that its within the realm of possibility that this person could also receive their 2021 iPad Pro early too?

Lol Best Buy won’t want to get in trouble. All I’m hoping for is delivery being made on the very date May 21.

Why would a furniture company sell an item long before its embargo is lifted, let alone sell an iPad Pro?

Because they likely didn't pay attention to the embargo.

Bigger outfits like Best Buy, Amazon, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc. will not want to run afoul of Apple's rules.

The company he bought the iPad from has several stores. More than likely, the person called the customer for pickup without knowing about any Apple embargo. The Reddit guy got very lucky. He shouldn't have named the company on Reddit. Apple may contact them.

Has anyone with a BB iPad Pro 2021 order seen a cc charge or anything showing up in the UPS or FedEx app? None for me.

Same story here including the configuration. However, when I login to BB web and go to details I still get this: "A release date for your pre-order has not been announced. We'll email you when it's ready."
Same here, still showing preordered

Pre order airpod max from BB and they said i would get it on release date,i got it about a month later so dont go by what they say for a hard to get product
Need some details on this. Did you preorder asap? And did they give you word on the delay? Or just kept the order on preorder until it was ready to ship?

Hey guys! I work at bestbuy (you can check my last history with helping out on iPhone launches here). There is a very good chance you will not get these on launch, from what I have heard from management is inventory is extremely low. We haven't gotten any units at our store and we are one of the busiest stores in the souther region. Just just wanted to give everyone a heads up to not get their hopes up.

Do you have any idea if at least their statement "ships by May 24" is legitimate? I think I'd better prepare myself to routinely check for apple in-store pickup stock starting from the launch day if not..

Tbf, wouldn't our preorders be held in some warehouse... having units in the store doesn't tell the full story of inventory being low. Granted, I wouldn't hold out on buying an iPad Pro at a BB during launch. I'm just hoping that Best Buy fulfills preorders instead of sending units to stores.

Judging by @travis64 post... it would be wise to not go by their statement. Reality is kinda sinking in... I have a feeling that these iPad Pros will fall under hard-to-get product territory.

I can tell you my experience: when the release date finally came it switched to "we don't know when it will ship." Then a UPS label was created like 3 days after that and they didn't ship it (UPS picked it up) for almost 10 days. I think they created the label to show movement but didn't actually have a product to put it on.

In the end the AirPods were shipped from a store location and not a warehouse, according to the UPS shipping label. I googled the address and it was some random BB store in Iowa.
