My indoor plumbing: I will pass on the description of how I use this bit of technology.

I had a laugh with that one. It's nice although I think I might go to the backyard a la Jim Carrey in Me, Myself, and Irene before I give up my internet.

Air conditioning I can't do without though. I hate heat and need to constantly have that cold air on me.

the e39 series apparently had more computing power than nasa used to get to the moon... though I'm not even sure how much that is!
The original Apple II had more power then the computer used to get us on the moon.
What I Do: Nothing really, but student.

1. iMac. I use this thing every day. Definitely the best thing I've ever saved up for.

2. My tennis racquet. Wilson [K] Four 105 sq. in. :) Awesome racquet, and also gets a ton of use. Usually 3 hours a day.

3. Uhh, I'll have to copy Cassie and say electricity for this one. ;)
Heh heh, bet most people didn't think of this. What good are your precious computer's without electricity!? :)

The internet... work and recreational purposes.

Cellular phones... (yes, i have an iPhone, but i could live without it) but the ability to stay connected to anyone almost anywhere.

I know this sounds stupid but, "Show desktop on windows/expose for Mac" It just makes life soo much easier.

That was also a time when most of the people involved (astronauts, mission control techs) did most of the calculations and adjustments in trajectory by hand. Since they did essentially everything themselves, they left the low-powered to only handle the more basic tasks.
