Apple's blitz of retail store openings continues this week, with ifoAppleStore reporting that the company is set to open three new stores in three different countries this Saturday. The openings come after Apple opened five new stores this past weekend as part of a push to open over 30 new stores between July and September.

The stores opening this week include a new location in Berkeley, California, as well as locations in Leganés, Spain near Madrid and Basingstoke, United Kingdom.

- 4th Street (Berkeley, California): The latest of more than a dozen stores in the San Francisco Bay Area, the new Berkeley store is just three miles from Apple's Bay Street store in nearby Emeryville and is about 2.5 miles from the University of California, Berkeley.

- Parquesur (Leganés, Spain): Located in a large suburb southwest of Madrid, the store will be Apple's second in the Madrid area and third in Spain. The store is actually closer to central Madrid than the existing Xanadu store.

- Festival Place (Basingstoke, United Kingdom): Located about 50 miles southwest of central London and 30 miles northeast of Southampton, the new store is in a large mall near the center of town and will be the 31st Apple retail store in the United Kingdom. The closest existing Apple retail store is The Oracle, approximately 15 miles away in Reading.

Brooklyn Apple Store please!

Honestly, I'm still amazed that Apple hasn't opened a store here in Brooklyn. They have plenty of fans down here, and I know personally I don't take trips to stores as often as I would due to the trip into manhattan required to do so. I'd rather get my Macs fixed in Apple Stores rather than "authorized resellers".

Apple stores are always exciting whether they are a big glass cube or the one in the picture.

They Just opened one in Waterloo, Ontario this past weekend as well.

It was on the Yahoo! new line because Waterloo is the home of RIM headquarters.

So more than just the five mentioned in this article were opened.

Does anyone know when the Apple Store in the Mapleview Mall in Burlington, Ontario is slated to open? That will be the closest location to where I live, (still 2+ hours away) and I am in need of an appointment @ a Genius Bar to rectify some issues with my MBP. If it's not too long from now, I can wait, otherwise I'm going to have to travel down the road another 45 minutes or so and hit up Sherway Gardens. I'd really rather not do that, during the going back to school crush...that place is crazy busy with kids.

Sioux Falls, SD please! :D

Apple still has an insane amount of work ahead of it. Not only has it not opened stores in many areas around the world, both high density and low, but many of the stores currently open are suffering from overcrowding and could use either an expansion or another store in the area.

there is a fourth

Arkansas's first store in Little Rock is opening on Saturday as well. Why wasn't this one mentioned?

not sure exactly where you are but Waterloo just open one this past weekend....Waterloo is about 40min from Burlington and might be less busy than the Sherway Gardens location.

SF is bigger than you think! :D

I wish I lived in a city big enough to need more than one Apple Store.

I forgot London had 4 till I was on the apple retail store! Madness.

Luckily when at uni in Manchester there is 2 nearby, and at home my closest is 25 mins away

Please be putting one in leeds soon!

It's ridiculous just how badly served yorkshire is.

I'm surprised about the Basingstoke store - it's under 2 months since they opened a store under 15 miles away in Reading. It's a bit like the London buses cliche - you wait ages for one to come along and then two come along in quick succession.

I think Basingstoke had a third party Apple store already, and the Southampton store is only 30 minutes down the Motorway, so what with the Reading store as well it seems an odd choice.

I'm not complaining because both Reading and Basingstoke are handy for me, but I am sure there are other areas more in need of a store.
