Other than this content blocking issue, I feel 3 UK would be the best network to get my iPhone 4.

I've been on Three before, and don't remember the content blocking being too annoying. (Compared to Vodafone, where they wouldn't let me search for "Local Pubs" due to that being an adult search term.) I don't plan on looking at porn or anything.

Anyone who's taken the plunge and got a Three iPhone, can you tell me what blocked sites you've come up against?

I thought content blocking was for Pay and Go customers only unless you specifically opted in? The reason being that Pay and Go does not require proof of age to get.

Not come across anything blocked yet (uk vodafone)

And I think it is just for pay as you go customers if they want it to be blocked out so there kids can't look for porn etc.

Im with voda with the iphone 4 and had o2 with the 3gs. Never had a problem. Mate has 3gs on three and its abysmal, hardly ever get signal and the customer support cant speak english. Dont touch them.

I agree, the 3 network is horrible do not go on 3. My friend has a Sony ericcson on 3 and
every time I phone him it breaks up on every call.

You will regret going to that provider so I would think hard before you lock yourself into a contract.

Interesting you say that. When I was on them last (just before I got the original iPhone) I found the network was pretty good. Certainly it's a lot better than O2. I ran my house's internet connection through Three's tethering from an old Nokia phone for a bit, and the download speeds were great. Seldom had a signal problem either, due to the fallback to another network (O2 a the time but I think it's Orange now) when you're outside 3's coverage.

Agree regarding the foreign and unintelligible customer service though.

Those of you on Vodafone, how's the coverage and download speeds compared to O2? I've used Voda before as well, and vowed not to go back due to customer service that was both rude and insulting, but I guess that's not the biggest issue!

    Good so far...

The only place i've found where o2 was better is my parent's house, literally just the house, outside voda is fine.... go figure lol.

Speeds generally a bit faster too on 3G.

Customer service, only used them once so far but I called up to ask why I had been charged for sending a few texts from abroad when I had purchased a 100 international text bundle. Mis-understanding on my part because that actually buys you 100 texts TO international mobiles from the UK, not 100 texts to the UK from international lands.... They removed the bundle immediately for me and even credited me the couple of pounds I had spent on texts due to the mis-understanding without me even asking. So thumbs up so far!

I had alot of discrepancies with o2 so I switched onto vodafone on my dads account.

So far it's been good and he even got a free 3GS last week because they messed up his order and didn't want to lose his custom.

He has been with them for 15 years and never missed a payment. The speeds ar great. They are much better than o2 and I seem to be getting a better reception at home now.
