Hey guys,
I threw up on my friends macbook. Everything still works fine, but half the screen is a little darker then the other half. I found out that I might be able to replace the LCD and not the entire mac????
Is there any chance that the screen will dry fine somehow and I wouldnt need to do that? Also, Is there any chance the warranty would cover this somehow??
I'm just goin through my options and I'm trying to avoid paying for a new mac or a new screen, but I did throw up on it and i gotta help her out.
Thanks for any help!!!

Finally, a puking story that tops my friend Chuck's drinking story.

He introduced a friend to his boss, the guy shook his boss' hand and then threw up on him.

Sounds like selling it for spares and getting a new one makes more sense.

Assuming this is true; you puked on it, you buy a new one. If I did that to a friend, I would offer to buy them a new one on the spot. If someone did that to me, I would expect that they would replace it, and I would take them to court if they did not. There are standards of civilized behaviour that one should adhere to.

You know the right decision, now go ahead, bite the bullet and pay for your mistake.

Sorry but I disagree. There is no backstory that wouldn't make it revolting and unpleasant behavior.

All self-induced behaviour aside (involving legal substances or otherwise), people do get the flu, food poisoning, and a other gastro-intestinal unhappinesses.

I say you buy her a refurbished Macbook. Come Tuesday they'll have dropped in price too, so you won't have to shell out TOO much!

It could be covered by insurance though, as an accident that happened.

Once a friend of mine spilled water on my iBook's display, the display went Aqua in the best sense (it didn't die, just had a new look), and her insurance paid for the display repair cost.
