3 options:-

1 - Claim on house insurance for accidental damage

2 - If it really was just the screen, you could buy a new LCD panel from eBay and install it using instructions on www.ifixit.com You'd have to be be fairly confident about tinkering with small screws and computer parts, be patient and make sure you have the time and the tools to pull it off! MacBook screens currently cost about $150

3 - Sell it on eBay (be honest!) where someone else can do the above. You can get a decent amount for MacBooks with cracked LCDs ($350 perhaps?).

Pictures please! :)

Hmm... Besides from the flu and drinking and so on, this could have happended:

The guy is an epileptic (or something), and all of a sudden, the screen went bad and started flashing rapidly - like a strobe or something. That caused him to throw up!

I think they would replace it under those conditions but... It's way out there.. i know.. sorry... Looking forward to tomorrow :D

eww, i just remember how much i hate everything about vomit, i would buy the guy a new computer tomorrow.

Hey guys,
I threw up on my friends macbook. Everything still works fine, but half the screen is a little darker then the other half. I found out that I might be able to replace the LCD and not the entire mac????
Is there any chance that the screen will dry fine somehow and I wouldnt need to do that? Also, Is there any chance the warranty would cover this somehow??
I'm just goin through my options and I'm trying to avoid paying for a new mac or a new screen, but I did throw up on it and i gotta help her out.
Thanks for any help!!!

Pay up son! Stop being cheap. You messed up someone's stuff; you replace it, not fix it.

It could be covered by insurance though, as an accident that happened.

Once a friend of mine spilled water on my iBook's display, the display went Aqua in the best sense (it didn't die, just had a new look), and her insurance paid for the display repair cost.

At least pay for her deductible. And that's assuming she has insurance.
