Thats very slow compared to att, thats why people are surprised and jumping ship. i can pull 5d/1u at home fairly consistently.

And with little bit of reading u can clearly see that for OP it doesn't apply because there is not ATT signal in his area. What good is fast data when u can't use it? :)

I have at&t and I pay an average of $40 per cell phone. 1400 mins, unlimited cell to cell, unlimited text messages, unlimited data and faster data also than Sprint (on the iPhone, not 4G). So yes, someone can come close to $42 a line.

What grandfathered, discounted plan do you have? No new customer can configure a plan anywhere close to that.

I actually left AT&T for Sprint, because there was no AT&T service in my house. Here is what I got on a speedtest right now:

I'm in the same situation. Zero to 1 bar inside the house with ATT and now 4 to 5 bars with Sprint. Slow 3G date speeds don't really bother since I work out of my house with WIFI anyway, so I rarely have to go out and use 3G data.

At least I don't have to walk outside with ATT to use my damn phone.

I left spring a year ago due to slow speeds. They let me cancel my contract because of it too! :) I couldn't use my phone anymore for browsing like I did on AT&T. So I came back and have been happy since.
