Hi

I use Thunderbird for my emails with no problems with the exception of when I received emails from 1 person.

They come through fine, but any attachment is a .dat file & the attachment is never there?

Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks

It sounds like a problem on the other end. how large is that .dat file? and you sure he sent you an email with attachment?

They vary in size & content, some are jpegs others are wmv files

I'll speak to my friend & see if anyone else has problems with his emails

Thanks

Do you have antivirus that's getting stressed with the files and quarantining them? Thus removing them from the email?

If it's not that then it'll most likely be an issue at his end, either his outgoing server or user error.
