If this is true, then it is a reprint, because the original documentation comes with a Mountain Lion desktop background and the text "Thunderbolt", not "Thunderbolt 2".

Can you check what the Apple system profiler says about your Thunderbolt port!?

Yeah this was in the manual in the box, just got it from UPS yesterday. I can take a screenshot of the system profiler but I wouldn't have the slightest idea whether or not it's thunderbolt 1 or 2.
