Anybody know of any Thunderbolt 2 cables to USB or adapters that would allow my mac book pro mid 2015 to record from Eye tv? I have 2 thunderbolt 2 ports I don't use wondering if a cable or adapter exist for thunderbolt 2.

You could get one of those CalDigit Thunderbolt Stations. They're docks, vs. adapters. But they're small and they do the job well.

I don't think you'll find too many real dongle type adapters, as Thunderbolt needs an Intel authentication chip, which is not cheap.

Thunderbolt 2 doesn't have USB integrated into the protocol like Thunderbolt 3 does so any adapters you might find (and they're rare) will be expensive. Why can't you connect the USB device direct to the computer using one of the built-in USB ports?
