While loitering around on Apple's accessories section I noticed this Moschi adapter that mentions a "Thunderbolt 3-enabled MacBook"

The current-gen MacBook does NOT support Thunderbolt 3 - it's USB-3 gen-1

No. No Thunderbolt on 2018 MacBook. The 2019 might get it but no guarantees.
