apple did not release a display with the new mac pro

will there be a new thunderbolt display soon

with retina maybe? or 4k?

or maybe thin like the new iMac

I'm also disappointed that there is - as yet - no new Thunderbolt Display from Apple. I'm not sure it matters to me about a retina display, and I'm not ready for 4k yet. But I do want an Apple display with USB3 ports to add on to my rMBP.

Sometime in the early part of the new year, I hope to be getting an older 27" i7 iMac to replace my old MBP (I need something that I can run Snow Lepoard through Mavericks on...). Since that has Target Display Mode, I can also use that as my additional display off the rMBP for a while...

I think you're confusing quantity/duration and quality.
