If I have a Thunderbolt to HDMI cable, can I use that on a 2010 MBP with a Mini DisplayPort?

Since a Thunderbolt to HDMI cable is just a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable, or does it say "Thunderbolt to HDMI" on the package/in the description (?), then yes.
