I just bought a Thunderbolt display and hooked it up to my Intel DZ77RE-75K motherboard's Thunderbolt port, but it doesn't seem to be recognized.

Are there Apple-specific drivers that I need to install, or should I be checking the Thunderbolt drivers and graphics settings on my motherboard? One article at Anandtech seemed to imply it should just be plug-and-play.

some of the Thunderbolt equipped motherboards are data only thunderbolt and not designed to carry the video signal like the macs are.
