Thunderbolt Display ticking sound issue

My 1 month old Thunderbolt display had this ticking sound with annoys me. Does anybody know what it can possibly be and had this been a known issue?

Sounds like you have a bee in there.

The Thunderbolt display has a fan in it. It could be that. Is it a fast ticking (1 or more times a second) or a slow ticking?

Hi,

I've owned several Apple Cinema Displays over the years: 2 - 24" ACD's, 2 - 27" ACD's, and a Thunderbolt Display.
Out of all of them, I've had one 24" ACD that had intermittent ticking issues. The ticking is audible, random, and persistent.
After reading some forums, they are somewhat common problems.
It is definitely annoying, so much so that I ended up selling that one since it was outside the warranty period.

Sounds like a fan issue.

Otherwise back to the apple store for repair...
