local thrift store has a possibly broken thunderbolt display for $150

for the sake of argument let’s presume i can get it working for little or no extra cost

i’m looking to possibly buy a new mac mini and wondering:

would this be a decent price for this monitor, or would i be better of simply getting a cheap brand new display of same resolution at a similar price?

i don’t care about all the camera, speakers, etc, simply the display itself

also, is it the same display as my 2011 27” imac?

thanks for your opinions

Depends how "broken" it is… That $150 is also in need of the components that are faulty.

I replaced the fan on mine last year after it began playing up…
Relatively easily done, but anything more than that I certainly wouldn't bother.

I'd just go with a brand new display.

i’m not sure if it’s broken at all. i’m just presuming at this point there must be something wrong with it or else it wouldn’t be there
