I have a Satechi USB4 enclosure with a 2TB WD Black SSD. The enclosure looks nice and is designed to be stacked with my Mini M4 Pro, but ejects the drive almost every time my computer sleeps. To get around that I have to connect it to a dock / hub that has external power and suddenly it’s no longer good looking / practical but rather awkward / inconvenient.

I also have a Caldigit TB3 dock, but it’s somehow flaky. Every time I move it, it loses power ejecting all drives (the one above and time machine).

So I’m wondering what options there are for a working solution that would merge those into one. Maybe a TB5 dock that would have a built in nvme slot that works and plenty of USB-C connectors. I only have a single display, but plenty of other equipment for working on music. Currently I have a 5GB ethernet adapter via USB that works well, so not too concerned about that part.

Is Ugreen the only option?
