Hi all,

I've got a strange problem with my 27" i7 2011 iMac. I installed the Thunderbolt 1.0 Firmware Update via Software Update a while ago, but Software Update still sometimes thinks it's not installed and offers it again. When this happens, the Thunderbolt page in my System Profile comes up blank. If I then reboot the iMac (without installing the update again), Thunderbolt starts working and Software Update reports that I have no new updates available. Then, a few reboots later, Thunderbolt disappears again.

Anyone got any ideas what might be happening? The only potentially relevant detail I can think of is that this iMac's HD was cloned from another one that got returned because of a fault.

Cheers!

Hi there,

It was a fault, I'm afraid, and the iMac had to be exchanged. :-/

New one works fine.
