Guys - I've paired my Mac mini M2 with an older Acer S231HL monitor (yes don't like big monitors). However, the monitor is dying. Budget conscious here and also trying de-clutter my desk which includes creative pebble speakers and a Logitech C920 webcam. Would a Thunderbolt 27 or smaller size (if one exists) be comparable in image quality to my old Acer from 2012

Also how is the sound and webcam quality compared to what I have right now? is the webcam 1080p? Lastly, will it be just 2 cables - power & USB-C to Mac mini m2 and I'll be fully set with display, audio & webcam? Thanks

What are the specs of your Acer display?

I have the 5K Apple Studio Display and older 2K Apple Thunderbolt Display. Both 27” and both are great. If you want cheap, an excellent condition 2K TBD is around $350, but you will need Apples TB3>TB2 adapter. I think it is going to come down to what resolution you prefer and hub connection options.

Acer S231HL Key Features
  • VGA + DVI + HDMI (HDCP) Inputs
  • 1920 x 1080 Resolution
  • 12,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast
  • 250cd/m² Brightness
  • 170°/160° Viewing Angles
  • 5ms Response Time
  • 16.7 Million Colors
  • White LED Backlight

Can you comment on speaker quality? Is it on par or better than today's MacBook Air?
