I read on the news a few months back that a cable manufacturer named Sumitomo is planning to introduce the first thunderbolt fiber optic cables which would become available in lengths of up to 30 meters. I was wondering if anyone out there knows when these cables might be available for purchase in the United States. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Any electronics manufacturer that wants to make any money will do their best to sell their products in the US.
