Is this a QT10 issue? A Safari issue?

They're bitmap TIFFs (just black and white), not RGB or greyscale.

They look fine on 10.5.8 with Safari 4.0.3. They also have non-square pixels. It could be a Quicktime problem, rather than a browser problem... but because I'm not using Snow Leopard or Quicktime X, I can't replicate the problem you're having.

Bit of an odd one, I would guess it is a Snow Leopard/Quicktime bug. IT affects both of my computers 10.6.1 and 10.6.2 on Opera, Safari and Firefox.

If you save the webpage as a html file with images and then load the file it doesn't work but if you use Quicklook to view the file you can see the picture.
