I do have a G5 Dual 1.8Ghz, 1.25GB of RAM, I am connected to an Xserve running 10.3.9 Server. Tiger Intalled fine but whenever I do a restart or log out, tiger freezes and no finder comes up, and everytime it does that, I had to reinstall again. I even reformatted the hard drive and the problem persisted, I have no external device at all. after around 15 Tiger Installs the only way that It would allow me to restart without freezing was if I didn't create a font library (not a collection) in FontBook.
In other words, FontBook Libraries (new feature in Tiger) make my computer hang when logging in, no matter if the fonts are located on the server or on the hard drive.
Anybody had the same problem, or knows about it? Please HELP!!
That was one feature that I was really happy about, thinking that I would be able to kick out Suitcase.
