Tiger Installation Sans DVD drive?

I own an ipod, OS X 10.4 RETAIL on DVD, a Mac Pro, a Powermac G4 (with no CD drive), and a 40GB ipod.

The G4 has no DVD drive and tiger is on DVD.

Can I put tiger onto the ipod and install it on the G4?

I'd be willing to make a boot CD or something like that.

That's in addition to the regular cost of Tiger.

But yes, the method outlined in Cromulent's link sounds like a good option for the OP.
