Tiger keeps deleting files?

This has happened about three times.

Being an old Windows user, and only having my Mac one week, I'm not sure if its my fault. Sometimes my iPhoto will reset (all my photos go away. Luckily there were only 300 which I didn't want anyway). And my iMovie will reset (they both come up with the introduction page of iLife '08).

I'm emptied the trash a few times and once it said 'deleting 100 items' or something and then it happened. I dont remember putting 100 files into my trash.

Could anyone help?

Doesn't sound at all right - can you maybe log everything you do from importing the photos into iPhoto right through to them vanishing?

You haven't been changing the name of your Home folder or something, by any chance...?
