Tiger locks up on logout of certain users

it seems that when certain users log out of our system(all systems running 10.4.11) it will lock up the computer and the computer has to be powered off to recover it. Its just a plain blue screen, like its getting stuck in the logoff phase.

Anyone ever see this? how did you fix it?
