Will I have any problems running Tiger on an iBook purchased this month upon it's release? And will I be eligible for a free upgrade to iLife 05?

I'm about to pull the trigger on my first Apple (ever, in 20 or so years of computing) and I'm nervous!

Yes, you will get iLife 2005. 🙂

Upgrade for Tiger, maybe NO since there was no date announced as of yet. If there was then Yes. H1 2005 does not count as a release date. 🙂

And Yes, Tiger will run fine on an iBook. You won't get some of the fancy effects and Core Image use. 🙂

What is a Tiger?

The codename for Mac OS X 10.4.

You know, 10.1 is Puma, 10.2 is Jaguar, 10.3 is Panther...10.4 will be Tiger.

Pardon my n00bosity, but what is Core Image use?
