Tiger on iBook

I'm thinking of getting Leopard for my C2D iMac and was wondering if I could use the copy of Tiger that came with the iMac on my old G4 iBook? I vaguely remember reading something somewhere about the installation DVDs only working on the machine that they came bundled with... anyone got any ideas? Currently the iBook is running Panther but I'd like to upgrade it to Tiger if the disk that came with the iMac will work.

Gray install disks only works with the same computer.

If you have Tiger retail (black disk), then it will work with your iBook.
