I've given up trying to get Tiger's dock into my Leopard OS, so I thought maybe someone could help me with this? I want the solid 'top bar' (the apple symbol, app name, edit, view, etc; with the clock on the other end) to replace the current clear one in leopard. Or at least to make it less opaque. Is this possible?

Terminal can be used, but this app is what you're looking for 🙂

0.62 is apparently closest to the Tiger look...and its called the Menubar by the way...

Without running hackware you can simply take the top of your desktop background picture and paste a strip of brushed aluminum in there.

I also noticed something interesting regarding the opacity of the Leopard menubar. When I use a dark background, the menubar is more opaque, but when I use a lighter background, it looks much more transparent. I like this, because it makes items on the menubar more readable when you use a dark background than if it just had a set transparency.

I highly doubt it, I think its more an optical effect, nothing is really changing.
