Well I understand that everytime I plug my girlfriends mac into the drive to backup, it copied the WHOLE entire HDD, every single thing she had on the computer, over and over and over. Had 165gb total of 4 different 40gb backups, the only files that had changed between backups were little text and doc files. It copies the whole music folder and other large unchanged folders over and over.

You got it wrong dude. I'm using up 60 gigs on my internal, i have a 500gb internal, and a 500gb external, ive been using TM for a month now.

I have 404gb free on the internal, and 397gb on the external, it doesnt copy your whole HD to the external every time it backs up. it only records changes and deletes. So clearly, its GREAT. i LOVE it. plus its not really meant for laptops, thats why Apple released time capsule.


Oh, and btw, LEOPARD ROX!!!! i used every single bit of it so far, its awesome. Apple is the best. PC users are missing out BIG TIME, really, what fun is there about windows?
