tiger won't update!

ok i know this sounds like a n00b thread, but i recently installed tiger on my brand spankin new mac mini g4. now this is 10.4.0, but when i run software update, it says there is no new software. i am kinda pissed because half the sites i go to says they need safari 2.1 or something, and i cant install most of the software i need either.

help!

go to apple's site and download the updates. then see if your software update feature will work
