I really don't like keeping machines past their warranty period. We will see though :D I just added a GT120 and a couple more monitors. Finally went Snow Leopard on it as well (I hold back on my production machines).
I can understand that (keeps financial outlay predictable), but in most cases, workstations and servers will out-last their warranties, and by a fair margin of time. The systems usually become incapable of the intended task before they die.

USB 3.0 is a possibly. I am waiting for drivers to start popping up. That is the only thing holding me back from buying a card.
Unfortunately, there doesn't yet appear to be Mac drivers for any of the existing cards so far. :( And you're not the only one waiting (thread somewhere IIRC). :p

Hey Mitch I'm right back with ya!

Turns out for some bizarre reason, other bidders don't actually place there bids until the last possible moment! ;)

I was watching along with a lot of others, it was you against the rest of NZ. Its not bizarre waiting to the last second, normal practice. There's another 08 coming up if you are interested, so I suggest don't bid on it till a few minutes before it is due to close. Absolutly no reason to do any bidding before then, its the last final bid that counts

Thanks everyone for the responses! I guess finally getting the money together had me on an edge to just buy buy buy. Just the sort of rational responses I needed :)

I shall wait for the update and hopefully it'll happen before Feb 22nd.
