Hey folks, so I bought myself a 2014 15inch rMBP over the holidays and I noticed the display hinge on it is very tight. When I lift the top lid and whole front half comes up as well – I have to use two hands to pry it open. Just wondering if this happens to anyone else or if I should be concerned and take it in for service.

I've only noticed it now since it's been sitting at home over the holidays and I've just started to use it "seriously" on a daily basis for a week. It is pasted the 2 weeks exchange time now…

Thanks!

Use it for a few weeks (you have a 1 year warranty minimum) and see if they loosen up. In my experience they are and should be fairly tight to ensure the screen doesn't open on accident and also that the display stays were it's set.
