Except that’s not LiDAR. That’s a different ToF 3D sensor. Not nearly as accurate. Here’s an article as to why

I never said it's LiDAR. It's still a 3D time of flight sensor, such AR applications can also be developed for Android but my point was that Samsung didn't implement it properly and just got rid of it.

You said: “The iPhone 12 Pro was released just 2-3 months ago and developers are already working on LiDAR implementation, while the Note 10 Plus had it two years ago and Samsung ended up removing it in the Note 20 Ultra.”

Which lead me to believe that you thought Samsung’s phones had LiDAR in them. Which was the start of me questioning you. I agree with you by the way, about Samsung not developing it well enough and dropping it prematurely. I feel like we’re going back and forth on semantics now. 😂

The Note 10 Plus doesn't have LiDAR. It has a single infrared beam. The iPhone 12 Pro has a grid of several hundred laser beams to form a point cloud.

Looks so awful and fake. Lidar is an expensive gimmick. Haven't seen one actual use case for AR yet besides a cool tech demo here or there.
Have a look how some car places are using LIDR scanners on empty engine bays that then feed into CAD software so they can design for EV conversions.

This is how companies get away with collecting enormous amounts of data from its users, Offer them value that they want
