And you just get a new one when the battery dies? Wow, just wow. (I hope they run out of VC funding real soon)
[doublepost=1502830145][/doublepost]I bought a 4 pack of the Trackr devices. They would CONSTANTLY lose their connection, so when you needed it, it was non-functional. The batteries lasted somewhere around several weeks. The aluminum case would twist on my key ring and end up mangled and with sharp edges. They were just plain awful. I saw no redeeming value to them whatsoever. I then bought the Tile and it works all the time, every time. Would it be nice to have replaceable/rechargeable battery? Sure. However, you get 40% off when you replace your Tile. If you bought the $25 Tile, you get a brand new one for $15 after a year. It's about $4 to buy the flat batteries that most devices this size use, so effectively, the device itself is getting replaced for $11 plus the battery. BTW, the Trackr's with a replaceable battery do not look waterproof or even water resistant to me, whereas the new Sport Tile is water resistant to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, I believe.
Also, the Trackr devices were so low volume, that when you tried to find your keys, you better hope you're already within 3 feet or you won't hear it.
