Hello, How can I preview how a graphic (or portion of a graphic) will appear as a background tile (in html, repeated x, y or both) in Photoshop? Do I have to save it first, put it in the html to see it? Do I have to manually copy it and tile it in PS to see it? Is there an easier way? I'd like to be able to isolate a portion of a graphic, preview the tile, and shift it up or down to get the best tiled result. Thanks

In photoshop select the area you want as the repeating pattern, then go to Edit > Define brush preset. Give it a name and open a new document and select the paintbucket tool. Make sure its set to "pattern" and not "forground" (in the top bar). I don't know if there's a way of previewing it while your selecting..
