It's just new on Australian phone, I've set it up pretty extensively in my first use, but he articles don't update that quick.

Much much prefer Flipbook, style and articles.

I'm somewhere in between I guess. I do use Apple News occasionally, and like how it generally knows some of my topics of interest, yet kind of randomly sprinkles news items all around the vicinity of those interests. As others mentioned, it seems to come up with some items that I would have missed otherwise.

That said? I don't find I really want to use it daily or as a "primary news source". I think it's still a little more relevant to get summaries of the headline news (either of local interest, from my local newspaper, or national/worldwide from some other established news source).

They're expanding. With iOS 9 I was able to access the Apple News app, and I'm from south america. I guess soon enough it'll be in other countries, if it's already here...

Im outside the US and i use the app - with US content (actually I don't use it, only used it once and dropped it into my crap folder... So I guess Apple counts me as a user). Just try setting the region of your phone as US.

I haven't used Apple News but only a couple of times when it was first introduced. It seems okay but I'm just not in the habit of using it.

Fliboard is way better if you can stand the ads imbedded in the content. The content isn't there, and it is slower on the Apple app.

lol people getting up in arms about the total users of a product that they don't use.

And the irony of this: this post comes from a user named 'appledefenseforce'.

Just had to point it out, as I have no dog in this fight. Carry on! :)

I checked News out on my iPhone 5 after the update. I browsed through the sources and didn't see a single thing that interested me so I closed the app and never looked at it again. I doubt it would have been worth my while to set it up anyway, because everything was too tiny on the 5 screen. Maybe if I had an iPad it would have been usable.

In any case, I'm not a fan of News because it gives an outsider yet another way to build a profile of the user.
"Apple may provide information to other parties, including the government, where necessary..."

I don't like to be exposed to Apples agenda. Just like their app approval process Apple News is heavily filtered. If all news was available I'd use it. But this delivery method is far too restrictive.

That said its one more opportunity for Apple to exercise control which many people prefer. They are decision free when Apples in charge.

I use it daily. The quality content and easy configuration based on your news source preferences makes this a no brainer for me.
