Wow! Really convincing.
Let give them second chance and them we can really slams them lol. It is not that easy to To build something like that when you licence all material and do not just process anything you found on web without asking. ANd other thing is processing things on device with limited memory.

AI means in some way democratising knowledge for anyone but it is question if we will profit from that as society or humanity. It does not solve any root issues. If AI in form as Deep Dive is trying that can think and recognize truth them we may move further but not sure everyone wants that. So many lies all around us lol.

AI Siri?
Siri can't get anything right without AI, maybe work on that first.

I haven't tried it but everyone I know who did and all reviewers I've watched say it works like magic and it feels much better than all other VR/AR devices.

That is like being the skinniest kid at fat camp.

Just acquire perplexity and call it a day Tim...

I can see them doing that, absorbing the team, and then proceeding to absolutely nothing different than what is currently happening. This isn't a money or talent issue, it's a management issue.

Bet you said that about Airpower and look where that ended up, hell will probably freeze over before Siri gets any smarter within the next year. This was supposed to be launched around the time of the iPhone 16, so that's false advertising already. Now it might be the 17 if we are lucky!. Absolutely ridiculous.

I hope they keep that Siri logo.

It's better than what you get when you tell Apple "Intelligence" to merge the Siri logo with a crying emoji.

Deceiving a judge is NOT okay.

I would not be surprised if an investigation gets started and goes up the chain of command to the person or law firm that okayed the lie. That person might get a new residence barring anything else (pun intended).

However, since lying is the new normal starting at the top in Washington and working down thru the various folks supposedly in power, why would we expect anything better by the mere mortals who look to Washington for guidance?

Cook's making progress might mean the department got more pencils so the programmers could write better code. Of course they have to find the code somewhere on the huge computer system at Apple. Oh, the challenges.

Hey, who has the latest version of this Siri code? There are too many patches to be able to follow the logic or lack thereof.

Someone: "Hey Siri, when is Tim Cook stepping down as CEO of Apple?"

Siri: "Bleep Blorp"

"Dong dong dong" "dong dong dong" Sorry, I'm having trouble with the connection.

*Retries*

"Dong dong dong" "dong dong dong" Sorry, I didn't quite get that.

"Dong dong dong" "dong dong dong" Sorry, you'll need to unlock your phone first.

They will finally get it working but it will only be compatible with iPhone 17 or newer and the people who bought the iPhone 16 for the Apple Intelligence features will storm the Bastille.

It doesn’t, but it’s very much an open question if they would succeed. Maybe they tried already?
Let's wait and see, honestly I would be happy if they do... That would at least speed up things.
